Why we blog

Sat 08.27.2005 @ 2:53 pm
"There are a billion people on the planet. What does any life really mean? But as you get to know a person through their blog, you get to know things you wouldn't have known in person, just having met them. There is a sense of freedom and honesty that the things you write down are yours: the good things, the bad things, terrible things, the mundane things-all of it, all the time. And as you put your life online your readers are making a promise to you. They're saying your life will not go unnoticed because they will notice. Your life will not go unwitnessed because they will witness it."

Isn't it human nature to question things we do? I don't think it's an automatic response to question everything we do as individuals, but when more and more people are churning out blogs like butter it is interesting to see exactly why this has become a mass phenomenon.

anyway... that was part a quote I saw from a movie with Susan Sarandon. (altered of course)

I blog because I want to be heard, but I'm not sure that's why everyone else blogs. BTW your shepherd Steve looks remarkably like my Dax. Do you suppose they were separated at birth? Naw.

Well Cube, if your Dax loves to snap at any insect that flies, howls at any cellphone/siren/weird noise and loves to give kisses and nibbles... than it can be possible. :)
